The Rihan Republic's ultimate power lies within the Senate (Deihuit). It is made up of 300 Senators (Deihu), all of whom are either well-versed in military skill, in possession of vast wealth, or harken from aristocratic families. The Senate is presided by the Praetor, with the day-to-day affairs managed by the Proconsul and Vice-Proconsul. Both of them are typically members of different coalitions as part of an arrangement within the chamber. Each coalition is led by a consul. The Senate does not convene on the third day of the week.

Of all the possible assignments within the chamber, the most coveted is one of the seats upon the Continuing Committee. It is made up of ten individuals with only the Praetor being guaranteed a seat. They are empowered to regulate elevation to the various levels of government and military. It is the members of the Committee who are responsible for confirming the ascent of an individual to the position of Praetor and have the sole authority to expel senators.
Supreme power, according to the D'Vatta, lies with the '''Senate (Deihuit)''', made up of 300 Senators (Deihu) from a range of aristocratic families, military leaders, or those with considerable wealth. The Senate appoints its own members. Many seats have been held by the same family for generations. There are many committees that are focused on individual policy areas.

There are numerous political coalitions that exist within the chamber including Jardian (pro-military and territorial expansionism), Jol Tan (law and order), Suketh (slow expansion, involvement in international affairs and alliances), and Nej'ahar (economic growth and domestic issues). Membership within the coalitions are constantly in flux and a member siding with one group on a specific matter may not be with them on another.
The '''Continuing Committee''' is the most important one in the Senate. This eleven-member executive board is made up of representatives from all branches of government. It is meant to allow each side to voice their concerns and work towards determining consensus on policy. Current membership is made up by:
* Praetor Morror Kassus, Chair of the Committee
* Proconsul Enellis Vellon
* Vice-Proconsul Clavius Romdar
* Jaridan Consul Alidor Jarok
* Nej'ahar Consul Chatak Tela
* Suketh Consul Teret Kayton
* Jol-Tan Consul Tenar Quellar
* Phi'Tlaru Chairman Vaebn Koval
* General Ayel Nevet
* General Korel Rendak
* Admiral Taskar Devix

Supreme power, according to the D'Vatta, lies with the Senate (Deihuit), made up of 300 Senators (Deihu) from a range of aristocratic families, military leaders, or those with considerable wealth. The Senate appoints its own members. Many seats have been held by the same family for generations. There are many committees that are focused on individual policy areas.

The Continuing Committee is the most important one in the Senate. This eleven-member executive board is made up of representatives from all branches of government. It is meant to allow each side to voice their concerns and work towards determining consensus on policy. Current membership is made up by:

  • Praetor Morror Kassus, Chair of the Committee
  • Proconsul Enellis Vellon
  • Vice-Proconsul Clavius Romdar
  • Jaridan Consul Alidor Jarok
  • Nej'ahar Consul Chatak Tela
  • Suketh Consul Teret Kayton
  • Jol-Tan Consul Tenar Quellar
  • Phi'Tlaru Chairman Vaebn Koval
  • General Ayel Nevet
  • General Korel Rendak
  • Admiral Taskar Devix

There are numerous political coalitions that exist within the chamber representing the spectrum of political opinion in the country including:

  • Jardian (pro-military and territorial expansionism)
  • Jol Tan (law and order)
  • Suketh (slow expansion, involvement in international affairs and alliances, domestic issues)
  • Nej'ahar (economic growth)

Membership within the coalitions are constantly in flux and a member siding with one group on a specific matter may not be with them on another. The Senate appoints a Proconsul and Vice-Proconsul to run the day-to-day affairs of the Senate. They are typically members of different coalitions as part of an arrangement within the chamber. Each coalition is led by a consul who has a seat on the Continuing Committee.
