The Raon Industries ZV-21 Titan is a Zhenian aircraft developed and built by Raon Industries capable of both vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) and short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities via the usage of tiltrotors, with two rotating turboprop systems capable of swiveling in two different flight modes.

Operational History

Variants

ZV-21A: The low-rate initial production prototypes evaluated from 1991 to 1993. 14 were manufactured and carried out various tests.

ZV-21B: Mass-produced utility variant aimed for the carriage of troops, equipment and supplies, within service in the Army and Marine Corps. Later production units and Marine Corps units have been upgraded with further electronic equipment and other countermeasures to aid in the assault transport role.

ZE-21B Lancer: AEW&C derivative based on the mass-produced ZV-21B. Carrying three AESA radars mounted on a triangular radome system, it was initially aimed for service aboard Republic of Zhenia Navy aircraft carriers, replacing aging ZE-20 Overseer units and was introduced into service in 1999.

ZS-21 Sea Titan: Anti-submarine warfare/anti-surface-warfare variant aimed for operation in ships with larger helicopter decks, particularly aircraft carriers and landing platform docks. Armament capacity of the ZS-21 is more than double that of existing anti-submarine warfare helicopters due to the platform size.
