AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1959 is the second edition of the annual AleziRadio Festival of Songs. It was held in 16th of May 1959 at the Krakosevich Theatre, City of Pyalivostok after the victory of Aziz Goridagyev Novogrody the previous year. This was the first competition to be held in Pyalivostok. The second edition was won by Nathaniel Swayne representing Bristol with the song "Make Me Believe in You"
Incidents
Santa Liliace debate
Representatives from Bristol and Tel Hadiv protested the fact that Santa Liliace got to sing on the stage once again, where Makada Shenish'arev from Tel Hadiv protested that her participation would bring an unfair advantage for the Aramnans to win, and William Hardington from Bristol protested that the competition has lost it's point on creating new Alezian talent if a great singer who already placed second is allowed to sing again. Both regions wanted Liliace to be disqualified and for Aramna to find another artist or to be disqualified as a whole. A ruling by the committee resulted in the creation of the rule that Liliace is allowed to compete, as she has rightfully won the regional selection in her own region. Reacting to the accusation, Liliace said the famous "Ik haise Ik zais bellais..." (I guess I'm that beautiful), and the two representatives apologized shortly after.
Pyalivostokian Venue
It was found out years later that no one in the Pyalivostokian Radio Authority predicted that anyone from their region would win the previous year. When Aziz Goridagyev Novogrody won, it caught the Pyalivostokians off guard and it was rumoured that when Aziz got home, Belsekov Nakarevich shouted at Aziz, "Why would you do this to us?! Now we have to host this competition! We can't refuse because we want to keep our face!" Pyalivostok was known for its infrastructural problems and finding a suitable venue is hard. And thus, the city of Pyalivostok loaned its best theatre at that time which is the Krakosevich Theatre, which even then has substandard build quality.
Competing Entries and Results
The running order was established from the rankings of the previous year. As Aziz Goridagyev Novogrody won representing Pyalivostok, then it was decided that Pyalivostok (especially as hosts) shall go first, and closed by the region who got last, which is Aramna.

Voting by region
Impact
The victory of Nathaniel Swayne elevated his career in the Alezian Isles (even going to South Alezia, who was closed away from the North), making his winning song like the previous year, the best selling song of the year.
While the majority reaction was positive, there was concern due to the fact that the voting system was too boring, added with the fact that the way that each region may vote for their own entries brings concern of cheating and fraud. To counter this, AleziRadio tried a new voting system that was tested the next year.
