In 1993, Hartley married her high-school sweetheart, Maximiliano Lobo, who was also an up-and-coming real estate developer. In 1995, the two got divorced after it came to light that he was cheating on her with four other women in Limelight City.
In 1998, she married film producer, Hector Cardoso. The two would get divorced in 2003 but would remain friends and co-parent their two children.
