The 1972 Besmenian federal election took place in Besmenia on August 13, 1972.
BVP was the strongest party with a result of 40.5%. The SDU suffered heavy losses to a result of 21.9% after receiving 33.1% of the vote in the previous election. The FBBP suffered slight losses. The BRP and the NWB could record additional votes.
