The Siege of Leeves (2 November 2018 - 5 December 2018) was fought primarily between the isolated elements of the Lucis Commonwealth Forces in Erebonia led by Field Marshal Kiriya Kitagawa against the Lamarre Provincial Army led by Aurelia Le Guin. The siege is remembered as one of the battles in history where family members commanded against each other, in this case, Kiriya against his wife, Aurelia.
The Siege of Leeves began following the Noble Alliance's occupation of Trista, in which LCAE forces in Leeves was the only potent force still strong enough to counter the Noble Alliance's forces. Led by Field Marshal Kitagawa, Duke Cayenne ordered Le Guin to engage against her husband at Leeves, occupy Fort Daidoji, and capture her husband intact. As most of Kiriya's staff suggested evacuating to the safety of Alteria or Gallia, Kiriya chose to stay to defend Leeves, hoping to prove to the Nobility that the Allied forces still had a fighting chance. Rather than being able to swiftly take the city and fort, Kitagawa's LCAE forces absorbed Le Guin's Nobility Forces hardest blows and bogged it down into a war of attrition which Duke Cayenne, nor Le Guin were not prepared for.
The siege was lifted following Duke Cayenne's order to assassinate Kiriya with the use of the ILF. The ILF failed and Aurelia, becoming slowly disillusioned and developing a fear of her husband, ordered her forces to lift the siege, free the prisoners, and retreat to North Ambria without Duke Cayenne's permission. This allowed Kitagawa to carry out several counteroffensives that allowed the Imperial Army of Erebonia to regain the initiative. Many considered the Siege as one of the greatest feats by Marshal Kitagawa, who demonstrated his few numbers to turn into his advantage.
