The Grand Confederacy of Crematoria, commonly known as Crematoria, is an interstellar nation located in the first quadrant of the Centaurus Galaxy.
Crematoria consists of 9 sectors, 550 colonized planets, and 830 protected reserves. It is the largest country by interstellar area. It shares borders with the Republic of Handoria, the Jasari League of Unions, and the Rotian United Republic. With a population of 5 trillion, Crematoria is the second most populous state in the galaxy, and the most populous country in the first quadrant. The planetary capital of Crematoria is the planet Crematoria, with the administrative center being the city of Serevon.
Crematoria began as a colony of the Republic of Auvera, however the Republic did not intend to keep the colony. Instead, they only sent specific citizens to this colony, citizens who had been implanted with the experimental ‘Ceres’ gene, a special gene modifier which increased the subject’s mental capacity, physical ability, and lifespan. Despite the positive effects of this gene, its side effects included reduced empathy, a tendency to violent behaviors, and increased feelings of spite and vindictiveness. The Ceres gene also reduced melanin production in subjects, resulting in many offspring being born with white or red hair.
The Grand Confederacy is governed by a single political party, having no opposition except the factions within itself. The NCPWP controls every inch of the government, from the judicial branch to the executive and parliament, with the Supreme Leader getting final say in all decisions. The Supreme Leader is the one and only head of state, and is assisted by his or her cabinet, also known as the The Web, which consists of department leaders (secretaries) from all ends of the government who advise the Supreme Leader.
