The Imbrodesian languages are a branch of the Foclaininthian languages, located in the subcontinent of Imbrodesia. There are approximately 4.91 billion speakers. All Imbrodesian languages are descended from Proto-Imbrodesian, spoken in Iron Age Imbrodesia.
During the third millennium BL, Imbrodesian languages were spoken across much of Imbrodesia and some of Pelletia, another subcontinent; however, it is now largely restricted to the original subcontinent. The North Imbrodesian languages include the most widely spoken Imbrodesian language, Saxburgish, with around 800 million native speakers. Most languages in the West Imbrodesian branch are mutually intelligable, and, as such, has led to many of them often blending and borrowing grammar rules. The South Imbrodesian branch are less conservative, having more grammar and spelling rules taken from the Pelletian languages than from the Imbrodesian languages themselves; as such, numerous calls have been made to classify the branch as Pelletian.
