Biology
Anatomy and physiology
The Khazdiat are relatively similar to humans in terms of anatomy and physiology, possessing a single set of arms and legs and a relatively similar appearance however the similarities end there as there are numerous differences both internal and external. The first and most notable external difference are their hardened plates on their shoulders, forearms, thighs, back and the back of their neck forming a natural form of armour which commonly takes a colour ranging from a desaturated Khaki to a bone like colour.
In terms of internal differences their skeletal system is far denser with their bones having a far higher mineral content and an increased quantity of skeletal muscle and ligaments, in addition they possess a larger then average brain, liver and a highly efficient set of lungs which can be explained from their mountainous native lands
Life cycle
The Khazdiat live on average, assuming their death doesn't come from external sources, for approximately 250 years naturally with adulthood commonly arriving by their 35th year and ending at their 200th year. Unlike with humans who usually die from organ failure in their old age, the Khazdiat suffer from a condition where their advanced immune system rapidly attacks the nervous system of the host, usually killing them within weeks, Once this conditions sets in its untreatable and it's still not understood how to prevent it.
Diet
The Khazdiat are an omnivorous species, leaning more into the carnivorous requiring a diverse spread of sustenance and an average caloric input of 4,250 calories per day.
Biological Variation
The Khazdiat have little to no skin colour variation thanks to the cold climate they reside in, with the largest variations being in the colour of their plates, eyes and hair. In terms of their height and build the Khazdiat vary in height between 2.2m and 2.7m.
Between sexes there is little noticable variation
