Der Koungssång is the royal anthem of Emerstari. It is also commonly known by its incipit: "Fråm Depter av Emerska hjartar, until vår Kuing" (English: From the depths of Emerstarian hearts, unto our King). It is sung on events such as the King's birthday despite it having been originally written to honor the death of King Erik VIII Olaf in 1744. Although it was written by Emerstarian composer and Rikskongress member Hughes Erik Strandberg and published 1744, it was not adopted until 1779 by Olaf III Aleksender.
The whole song is not typically sung unless the King is present, only the first and fourth stanzas.
