It was Stienstra's final album released under the terms of her contract with Wonderland Records. The album was produced by Jarich Van Der Wijk, Mintsje Wybengs and Stienstra, who is also the executive producer.
The album reached number one in Crethia, Dulebia, Hytekia, Juznia, Kustlan, Mascylla, Tudonia, Tuskval and many other countries across Gaia. It was the best-selling album of 2017 and 2018. Stienstra also embarked on the Fallen Global Stadium Tour in 2018 to promote the album. The tour went on to become the highest grossing Gaian tour of all-time.

Stienstra's most recent solo album had been 1989, for which she won an AKMA Album of the Year award.
