The '''Grand Imperium of Bearia''' (GIB), also known as the '''Grand Empire of Bearia''' (GEB) and commonly referred to as '''Bearia''' or 'the Beros', is an Absolute Monarchy located in Southern Amanir. With an estimated population of 403 Million and a vast territory across Southern Achara including a couple islands off its coast. The capital is Bearstin (City) and the largest city is Riverington.

The people that would become the Bero's originally lived as pirates in the islands of Nothern Achara. Approximately 100 years Pre-Jahsor, the Bero were blown off course by a storm. They established their own cities and stayed under the radar of the powerful Aydinirian Empire. The Beros would eventually launch a campaign against the weak Aydinirian Empire. Known to the Aydinirian and Bero people as Jashor. It was a time of great destruction and Bearstin would claim much of the land inhabited by the former Aydinirian Empire.
The people that would become the Bero's originally lived on islands north of Achara where their warrior culture developed rapidly having to fend off pirate invasions. Shortly before the Dance of Princes, an unknown people (later known as the Butchers) began raids on their islands forcing the Beros to the mainlands. They quickly assimilated into the Aydinirian Empire. The Dance of Princes broke out shortly after their arrival and the Beros largely fought on Ariozhar's side. The Beros distinguished themselves in combat and became feared warriors throughout the Civil War. During the Battle of Hwarthas, Paz the Immortal, a guard of for the Emperor held the Beros back during a battle and proceeded to slaughter both sides, thus beginning the Bero Rebellion.

In 1620 AD, the Black Dynasty was established. In 1941, the Great Regional War broke out. Bearstin was a member of the Imperialists and was one of the countries hit by the pre-emptive strikes that started the war.
=== Etymology ===
Bearstin was the word developed to describe the country in which 'the Beros' resided in. While not Bero in origin, the term soon became adopted by 'the Beros' as a more modern take on their civilization. Eventually, the word evolved into Bearia as it was often confused with its capital city. Today, different countries use different names. Aydinirians generally say 'the Beros', but other nations commonly use Bearia, or in some cases Bearstin.

After the Great Regional War and the death of Darius I, Bearstin entered in a period of frequent civil wars and rebellions due to family rivalries, jealousy, and outside influence. The acension of eighteen year old Sara I in October 2019 ushered in a new era of peace.

How 'the Beros' got to the islands they originally inhabited is a mystery to modern scholars, but by 200 BJ they had vast cities scattered across the islands they inhabited. They quickly developed a warrior culture as they were constantly under attack by pirates and a neighboring tribe call the Sha'kaya.
The term Bearstin originally derives from 'the Beros' which is what the first settlers of Bearstin were called. At first, 'the Beros' was a moniker only used by the surrounding tribes and empires. But as it grew in popularity, the settlers adopted the moniker. Up until the late first century, 'the Beros' was the common term used to describe these people.

At the dawn of the second century, the term Bearstin was growing in popularity. Before, they seemed like a semi-civilized horde of people. Post Jashor society was that of clashing with neighboring empires and tribes. When the First Great Peace was established, the Beros began to develop their society and think of themselves as a united Empire. This belief that they were all one people seems to have spurred the terminology change to 'Bearstin'.
In 130 BC, the Beros had finally exterminated the neighboring tribe in what many in modern times would call a brutal genocide. Bero Oral Tradition spared no detail and it is said that this decisive victory of the tribe was accompanied by the rape, enslavement, and murder of much of the populace.

Today, either term is seen as correct. Some countries like Aydinir still refer to them as the Beros, but other countries such as Immobilia use Bearstin.
In the middle of Jashor, a series of catastrophic events led to the abandonment of the islands. It is belived that a category five hurricane struck the island, causing immense destruction, famine, and death. Legend has it that just as the strom cleared and the light was seen, a fleet of warships of unknown people came upon the islands and killed everyone in their path. These people were different from the pirates that the Beros had routinely slaughtered. The fighting power and verocity of these people startled even the brutal Bero people and after a series of cities were wiped out, the Beros believed that they had to abandon the islands.

Legend says that the Bero people sailed with a massive fleet from large islands north of where they came from after a cataclysmic event forced them off their islands. Modern historians doubt that is true and suggest that instead, the Bero people are a collection of individuals from multiple islands and lands that either met up with their fleet, or found the settlers once they had settled. The displaced peoples then established their society.
The Beros made landfall in Aydinir shortly before the start of the Dance of Princes in the lands of Ariozhar. As the Dance of Princes broke out, the Beros jumped to fight for Ariozhar, quickly distinguishing themselves as fierce warriors and further entrenching warfare into their culture. At some point, Paz the Immortal became a guard and adviser to the Aydinirian Emperor Ariozhar. Later in the war, the Beros started to feel disrespected and at the Battle of Hwarthas, the Beros disobeyed orders to join the battle. As the battle neared a close and both sides weakened, the Beros jumped in and slaughtered both sides, officially starting the Bero Rebellion. The First Bero Empire was declared and [[Paz the Immortal]] was declared Emperor of the Beros.

The latter thesis is more likely given the racial diversity of the Bero people. Not much is known about the Beros before they arrived on Southern Achara. Stories from other nations describe pirate societies and agrarian people, but significant evidence is few and far between. The history of Bearstin starts with the settling of Bearstin, and most history before that is either legend or speculation.

When the Beros arrived on the continent, they immediately set up a settlement on the shore, and scouts were sent deeper into the land to find more hospitable land. The scouts eventually came upon the land that would become Bearstin. Early records and oral tradition tell us that the sight of their city was near a great forest with a small river running nearby. The people slowly migrated down to where the scouts were, and the city of Bearstin was established around 200 BC.

For awhile, the Beros lived in an Agrarian society, and had no formal government, but a small oligarchy made up of officials from their cities. It wasn't until 20 years before Jashor that Abby Elizabur, a descendant of the leader of the migration, Darren Elizabur, was crowned Queen of the Beros. With the Aydinirian Empire slowly declining, Abby I built up the Bero military in preparation for a massive invasion.

History

Pre-Arrival

How 'the Beros' got to the islands they originally inhabited is a mystery to modern scholars, but by 200 BJ they had vast cities scattered across the islands they inhabited. They quickly developed a warrior culture as they were constantly under attack by pirates and a neighboring tribe call the Sha'kaya.

Arrival on Southern Achara

The First Bero Empire was declared and Paz the Immortal was declared Emperor of the Beros.
