History

Early History

The land that would become Kettu was originally a number of northern Vuortish kingdoms.

1960's

During the 60's a small minority group in Minilov, the Eesti, began to demand independence.

Government

Kettu is a parliamentary republic, with the government divided into legislative, executive and judiciary branches. The executive branch is presided over by the President, currently Lalli Hotakainen of the Demokraattinen Sosialisti party. The uni-cameral legislative branch, Parliament, consists of 200 ministers, presided over by the Prime Minister. Paju Kinnunen is the current Prime Minister.

Ministries(Kettu)

The ministries function as administrative and political experts and prepare Government decisions within their mandates. They also represent their relevant administrative sectors in domestic and international cooperation.
New laws are drafted in ministries. There is a tradition of substantial ministerial independence in law drafting. The drafts are then reviewed by government and parliament before enactment. The final legislative power is vested in Parliament, in conjunction with the President of the Republic, according to the Constitution.

Politics

The Kettulaiset Government is relatively free of corruption, and is heavily liberal. The current majority party is the Democratic Socialist party, with a major majority over the next largest party.

Political Parties in Kettu

The majority of Kettulaiset politics is controlled by the Social Democratic coalition. The Demokraattinen Sosialisti is currently led by the dynamic President Lalli Hotakainen, and the popular favorite Prime Minister Paju Kinnunen.
