Federal elections was held in Gristol-Serkonos on 2nd November 2019 to elect the members of the Council of Representatives in the xth Federal Parliament of Gristol-Serkonos. The writs of election were issued by Queen Anna of Gristol and Grand Duke Tehwehron of Serkonos, exercising their right as co-monarchs of the United Kingdom. The xth Federal Parliament was dissolved on 9th September 2019. It is also the last election under the 1925 Federal Constitution and the modern electoral distribution of seats.

The Progressive Conservative Party, led by Kaniehtí:io Fox, won 451 seats, allowing the party to form the first majority government since 2004. Following the election, Fox assumed the role of Chancellor and she and her cabinet was sworn-in on 3rd November 2019. The Social Democratic Party, led by incumbent Chancellor Stuart Lewis, won 271 seats, becoming the Official Opposition after 22 years on the government benches. The SDP's coalition government partners, the Moderate Left won 27 seats, the Democratic Socialists won 9 seats and the Greens won 6 seats. The far-right Patriotic People's Front won 14 seats, and the National Coalition won 10 seats.

The Progressive Conservatives' increase of 200 seats is the largest increase by any party in the last 22 years. Every party represented in the Council of Representatives except for the Progressive Conservatives recorded a decrease in its popular vote share.

Following the election, Lewis conceded defeat to Fox and resigned as leader of the Social Democratic Party. Kanatase Starmer resigned as the leader of the Democratic Socialists shortly after the election on 9th November 2019. Kó:r Phillips also resigned as the leader of the Greens after losing his seat. Brice Moreau, Jone Streisand and Iostha Reed remained as leaders of the Patriotic People's Front, National Coalition and Democratic Unionists respectively following their post-election reviews.

The low vote share percentages recorded from the Democratic Socialists and the Greens revived the possibility of introducing a 1% electoral threshold in the next election.

Electoral system and date

The Parliament of Gristol-Serkonos operates on a hybrid system of First Past the Post and Proportional Representation. During the election, parties are allowed to run candidates on any of the 626 electoral districts in the country. One member of parliament in the district is decided after the person with the most votes. In addition to running a candidate, the political party's overall popular vote percentage is used to elect 184 additional members through proportional representation.
