Carrington is home to the the Northeast Campus of Freemont County Community College. The city is served by the Carrington Independent School District. The city is bounded by North Perrytown to the west, Willmington to the south and northwest, and unincorporated Freemont County to the north and east

According to the Ibican Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 42 square miles (108.78 km2).

Main highways

  • I-25.svg Runs North-South through the city. Begins in Willmington to the south, continues north across the country.
  • I-610.svg Forms a half-loop around the Willmington area.
  • WM-54.png travels through the southeast corner of the city.
  • WM-77.png, which is Carrington Road, runs east–west through the city center, acting as the main thoroughfare in the city.
  • WM-125.png, has its southern terminus in the city, follows I-25 to the north.
