The Lestallum Defence Academy (LDA), commonly known simply as Fort Lestallum, is the Lucis Army's initial officer training centre and is located near the city of Lestallum, 55 miles from Insomnia. The Academy's stated aim is to be "the national centre of excellence for leadership". All Lucis Army officers, including late-entry officers who were previously Warrant Officers, as well as other men and women from overseas, are trained at Lestallum. The Academy also houses the Auxiliary Territorial Service Corps, the Special Air Service, the 6th Airborne Division and the Royal Military Police.
