Sarkiades (Piraean: Σαρκιαδες) traded as Sarkiades A.E. is the largest Piraean retailer focused in department stores, as well as the only chain that is still in place in Piraea. It was founded by the Argyrakos family in 1954, and has counted with the ownership and later participation of the family since then. It counts with several department stores covering the territory of Piraea, as well as international presence in Amathia. Through its fashion retailer subsidiary Anisos, it has boosted its international presence in Euclea and Rahelia.

Sarkiades' international presence has been defined by the put in practise of new store types. • Sarkiades

Under the Sarkiades name, the company has kept its traditional department stores structure. The brand is well spread throughout Piraea and counts with a store in Arciluco, Amathia. Stores are generally large buildings in city centres and sections cover from varied clothing to electronics, home furniture and food and beverages.

• Anisos.

Founded in 2007, it is the youngest but more expanded brand of Sarkiades with numerous stores in Piraea and the rest of Euclea. It is a fashion store that covers male and women clothing in diverse styles. Anisos stores can be found inside shopping malls and in street locations.

• Sarkiades Gastro

Gastro is the name of the supermarkets, which are generally of medium size and cater middle to upper-middle class publics, with different regional products as well as high-quality ones. Gastro has not been expanded outside Piraea and while stores are well-known, these are mostly in the largest cities.

• Sarkiades Voyager

Sarkiades Voyager is the second most expanded brand of the group after Anisos; it is a travel agency specialised in both large groups and individual customers. It is well expanded in the world and tends to be an important contributor to Piraean tourism.
