The Constitutional Republic of Greica, commonly known as The Republic or Greica, is a NationStates nation located in the northwest of the Region of Prudentia. Greica consists of 4 distinct provinces totaling 23 city-states scattered around the nation. The capital of Greica is Volnaiskra, which lies in the Volnaiskra province. Greica's closest neighboring country is the Democratic States of Hearrat to the nation's south. With a population of approximately 7 billion, it is the 5th most populated nation in Prudentia. In RP, Greica has 184 million citizens.
The Republic of Greica is a federal constitutional republic with three separate branches of government, with power devolved locally and through ministries. The leader of the nation is the President of the Republic (President of the Council), President Monovich. The Legislative branch of the government is made of a bicameral legislature, consisting of the Commission of Citizens and the Commission of Governors. The Executive branch of the government consists of the Council of Ministers, which is also where the President and Vice-President of the Republic are elected from. Finally, the Enforcement Branch consists of the military, paramilitary, police, federal investigative agencies, and the federal justice system.
Government and Politics
Greica is a Republic consisting of 23 city-states and 4 provinces that are represented in the bicameral legislature. The federal government comprises three branches:
- Legislative: The Commission of Citizens and the Commission of Governors write the nation's laws, declares war, approves treaties, and controls the federal banking system and budget.
- Executive: The Council of Ministers and the Offices of the President and Vice-President of the Republic veto legislative bills, present resolutions before the Commissions, and represent the nation before the world.
- Enforcement: The Ministry of Defense, including the military, police, paramilitary, and more, defends the nations interest from its enemies and rivals.
The Commission of Citizens has 207 voting members, each part of a group of 9 representing a city-state in Greica. The Commission of Governors has 48 voting members, each part of a group of 12 representing a province in Greica. The Commissions must pass the same law for it to be passed on to the Council of Ministers.
Parties and Elections
Greica operates off a three-party system, which is a relatively new development. The majority parties are the Greica Supremacy League, United Pheonix Party, and the Leage of Industry. The current President of the Republic, Andrew Monovich, serving as the 2nd president of the New Greican Government, is a member of the United Pheonix Party. The GSL, Greican Supremacy League, seeks for the nation to be at the top of the world, and is the main reason the Greican Armed Forces are so strong. The UPP, or United Pheonix Party, seeks to unite the nation and the world under one banner through mainly diplomatic means. Finally, the League of Industry seeks to make Greica the worldwide home of business and opportunity.
Foreign Relations and Policy
Greican foreign policy is managed by the Ministry of State and led by the President of the Republic and seeks to spread Greican democratic ideals throughout the region. Currently, Greica is not signatory to any international treaties or a member state of any organizations or coalitions.

Major categories of spending include Defense (21.6%), Education (18.4%), Healthcare (15.9%), and Environment (10.6%).
Military
The Minister of Defense, who reports to the Council of Ministers, is the commander-in-chief of the Greican Armed Forces. The Minister leads the Ministry, as well as appoints the leaders of the three branches (also known as the Joint Chiefs of Staff), which are made up of the Greican Ground Defense Army (GGDA), Greican Air Force (GAF), and the Greican Deepwater Navy (GDN). Military Service in the armed forces is compulsory, with all able-bodied citizens required to serve at least 1 year in any branch of the military. The Air Force also operates the nation's satellites and cyber defense systems. The Army is prepared for combat at home and abroad. The Navy has deployments all across the Prudentian seas, and maintains a capable fleet of unknown size.
Economy
The Greican Economy is partially reliant on other nations for support but is a large exporter of natural resources. 3 of the 6 natural resources able to be found in the world can be found in Greican territory, and the other 3 comes from its nearby neighbors Hearrat and Grand Sebascoqon.
Science and Technology
Greica is home to some of the world's leading scientists, engineers, and architects, and often works alongside other nations for major scientific endeavors, such as the underwater train tunnel between Greican and the Empire of Grand Sebascoqon.
Transportation
Greican transportation is relatively limited to public transit systems, bicycles, and aircraft. Greica maintains a nation-wide ban on motor vehicles for the average citizen. The only vehicles that are permitted to operate on public roadways are military vehicles, public transportation, emergency services, and government officials travelling on official government business. The private sector maintains a series of rail lines, including heavy freight and high-speed "bullet train" lines. The aircraft operated in the United States are entirely military, private, or corporate aircraft. The civil airline industry is privately-owned and runs international and local flights. These airlines are regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration of the Ministry of Transport.
Energy
The Greican Ministry of Energy attributes 45% of the nation's energy production to nuclear sources, 30% to renewable resources (wind, sun, hydro), and the remaining percent to natural gas or coal fired power plants.
