Jack Leighton Sr. was Born on the 19th June 1962. Leighton grew up in a working class family in Une Grad. Leighton attended Une Grad State University with a scholarship, he studied political science and philosophy. Leighton founded the Green Party in 1984 when he was 22 years old and still in college. Leighton ran for CA in Une Grad in 1986 immediately after he graduated. Leighton narrowly beat incumbent Liberal Jeremy Fork, and sat on the assembly for two full five year terms.
