Choi Eun-young (born May 11th, 1993) is the current host of Sailor on Tour
Early life and career
Choi Eun-young was born on the 11th of May 1993 in the city of Aurora. A lot of information about Eun-young's early life comes from episodes of Sailor Today uploaded on MalTube. In these episodes, Eun-young noted that her fascination with the oceans started when she would explore the beaches around Aurora and spend time watching all the commercial and military shipping flowing in and out of port.
Eun-young was very active in her local Free Democratic Youth branch, as the local network in Aurora has a tight connection with the Royal Navy and often organises exercises on boats to increase the connection between Aurora and the ocean. All was noted as a very positive time by Eun-young, and she even earned several commendations for her apparent showcasing of social solidarity at this time.
In 2011 Eun-young took the decision to volunteer for service in the Royal Navy and entered into service as a Subchief
After training Eun-young was transferred to the Maestoso, a Karlino-class Frigate tasked with assisting anti-piracy operations in noted areas of difficulty near the Research Colony. In this capacity, Eun-young was tasked with maintaining and operating the ship's railgun armaments and was noted a few times for her proficiency in operations, with a few pirate ships captured with valuable intelligence during her service on the Maestoso.
Over her years of service, Eun-young climbed to the position of Sub-Lieutenant and was noted to become a full officer, however, in 2019 she instead made the decision to join the reserve fleet and return to civilian life to help promote the cause of the military and civil institutions in another capacity.
Sailor on Tour
In 2019 Eun-young started Sailor on Tour, a MalTube channel in which she discussed her career in the Royal Navy and spoke honestly about the issues she had faced in the service alongside the positives. Eun-young's honest words about her military service soon gained her an increasing number of fans, and she soon began working with the military itself and a few advertisers to promote various efforts such as ASG-led charity efforts in Crystal Spires.
Eun-young's popularity eventually led to her show getting picked up by the Malgravean Broadcasting Corporation and Sailor on Tour is now a popular daytime show on the network. In 2021 she was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for her work promoting social solidarity and military service.
