Content of the Act

Article I || Titles

1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the Inheritance Act, 2022.

1.01 || This Act may be referred to in full as An Act to provide for the process of inheritance should a person lose their status as a citizen.

Article II || Definitions

2.00 || Initient: A person that has lost citizenship by any means as laid out in the Citizenship Act 2022.

2.01 || Material Belonging: Any property belonging to an Initient.

2.02 || Family: The members of the Household of an Initient.

2.03 || Line of Inheritance: A thread created by the Initient before the removal of citizenship that lays out specific instructions as to the inheritance of their material belongings.

2.04 || Will: A thread written by the Initient containing instructions as to what should be done with their money and property after the removal of their citizenship.

Article III || Inheritance Process

3.00 || Should a person lose citizenship, the following shall be the process of inheritance:

3.01 || In the absence of a Line of Inheritance, the family of the Initient shall, three (3) days after the loss of citizenship, select one to three (1-3) member(s) of their family to inherit the material belongings of the Initient.

3.02 || In the case that the Initient has written a Line of Inheritance, the inheritance process outlined in Section 3.01 shall be overruled in favour of the process or persons laid out by the Initient; 3.02a || The Initient may, within a Line of Inheritance, order all or some of their material belongings to be deleted rather than being inherited.

3.03 || The inheritance process shall have the oversight of the judiciary.

Article IV || Material Belongings

4.00 || The following material belongings may be inherited: 4.00a || Estates; 4.00b || Residences; 4.00c || Businesses; 4.00d || Religious Institutions; 4.00e || Any monetary assets.

Article V || Ratification

5.00 || This Act shall come into effect upon passage by both Houses of Parliament with a simple majority and assent by the Sovereign or other authority as established under the Monarchy Act of 2021.
