Tyonek is the capital and second largest city of the Federal Republic of Wassilia. It is located in the central portion of the country in the Austaras province lying along the western bank of the Wallach Sea where the Austaras River empties into. The population of the city is 2,175,560 and is one of the two cities with over 2 million inhabitants in the urban center. The city experiences an hudmid continental climate with warm but not hot summers and cool to cold wet winters. Snow is common during the winter but not abundantly so.
