The 2013 World Cup, also called the 2013 Helmfurt World Cup, was an international football tournament contested by men's national teams which took place between 12 April to 19 April, 2013 in Helmfurt, Besmenia. It was the 35th World Cup, a worldwide football tournament held once every year. It was also the third World Cup hosted in Besmenia after the 1986 World Cup in Laitstadt and the 1999 World Cup in Freiz. The tournament phase involved 32 teams, of which all came through qualifying competitions at the start of the event from an original 64 national teams.
