United Latium is the largest political party in Latium based on representation in the Senate. United Latium is the oldest extant political party in Latium, first forming as the Conservative and Imperial Party in 1854, first assuming it's current name in January 2017. The party was rebranded following the call for snap elections at the conclusion of the 2016 succession crisis during a press event led by Consul Alexander Pompilius. Records from the office of the Electoral Commission place the name change the day prior. Alexander Pompilius served as the party leader of the Conservatives during the name change, and continues to hold that status. The current party Chairperson is Sophia Pompilia.
United Latium is considered the legal successor to the Conservative Party, maintaining the former party's records and general structure, including party headquarters in downtown Castellum. Unlike the Conservatives, the platform of United Latium in the 2017 general election demonstrate a dramatic shift towards the center and away from the hard-line right wing social policies of its predecessor. Pompilius described the party as espousing "pragmatic conservatism," adhering to the ideals proposed under the Conservative leadership of Leo Poplicola in the mid-1980s. United Latium is a supporter of Pro-Belisarianism.
United Latium holds the most seats of any Latin political party in the Senate with 433, the largest majority post-Social War. The party holds a plurality of seats in the devolved Imbrosian Assembly, and the second most seats in the Castellum Assembly.
