The following is a broad timeline of the World War, which lasted from April 12th, 1949 to November 12th, 1954 (5 years, 7 months and 1 week) and involved more than 40 countries from around the World. Minor skirmishes are generally overlooked in this article, with the more major-engagements and events being highlighted.

Preceding Events

• 1932-1944 - Chanchajillan Civil War is waged between capitalist East Chanchajilla and socialist West Chanchajilla.
• August 2-9, 1945 - First Danaska War erupts between Gladysynthia and Zamastan.
• October, 1948 - Rumaztrian forces invade Haduastan, leading to an occupation and insurgency.

1949

• April 5 - Albarinean shipping vessel ASVA Gillead Sun is sunk by a Drambenburgian U-boat in the Emmiria Sea.

War Begins

• April 12 - Drambenburgian invasion of Avergnon begins.
• April 15-18 - Battle of Selleaux; first major battle of the war, with over 60,000 deaths.
• April 24 - President Marvin Gaviria calls Emperor Geoff III von Wettin to try mediate the invasion.
• May 7 - Battle of Devenstaal; strong Avergnonian defense results in a stalled Drambenburgian advance.

• June 2 - Battle of Eekren; Drambenburg punches a hole in the Avergnonian defensive lines, threatening the capital of Vessalia.
• June 10 - Zamastan declares war on Drambenburg. Zamastan begins a two-pronged offensive into Aunistria with the aim of surrounding the Drambenburgian forces from the west, north, and south.
• June 11 - Battle of Aarstal; First major Zamastan-Drambenburg clash of the war.
• June 14 - Battle of Spreitenneuve; Drambenburg is routed into a strategic retreat.
• June 29 - Battle of Rosnon; retreating Drambenburgian forces are reinforced and Zamastanian offensive stalls. Each side falls into trench warfare, to which it remains a drawn out stalemate for the majority of the war with little ground gained by either side.
• July 1 - Battle of Romrode; Zamastanian forces attempt to push through Drambenburgian defense, are pushed back.

• October 2 - Bombing of Strallingen; first bombing of a Zamastanian civilian population by Drambenburg. Over 400 are killed.
• October 7 - 1949 bombing of Titania begins; Drambenburgian planes bomb Titania, Zamastan, for 52 days, killing over 17,800 civilians.
• November 2 - Vozhd Nikifor Osipov and Emperor von Wettin sign the Slavic-Drambenburg Aid Treaty, the first international support Drambenburg receives in their quest for imperialism.
• November 5 - Barangadesh and Styrae begin supplying Drambenburg with supplies.
• November 6 - Drambenburgian planes bomb Blythe, Mayotte, Zamastan, killing 200+ people.

1950

• March 5 - Quetana declares war on Drambenburg, joins Zamastan.

• April 3-5 - Battle of the Strait of Cranes; first major maritime battle occurs off the coast of Ossinia. 1 Drambenburgian and 3 allied aircraft carriers are sunk.

• June 15 - The DSC invades eastern Avergnon. Multiple major clashes occur, such as the Battle of Yeiwofen, Battle of Bolsdam, and the Battle of Adlishnier.
• June 17 - East Chanchajilla, Caspiaa, Rio Palito and Elbresia join the war, siding with Zamastan and Avergnon. The "Allies" are officially established.
• June 18 - Battle of Everbeke; DSC pushes Avergnon into a retreat. Versenia joins the Allies.
• June 20 - East Besmenia joins the Allies.
• June 21 - Emmiria joins the Allies.
• June 25 - Vœyetska joins the Allies.
• July 2 - The Aveirs Genocide begins as DSC forces begin systematically rounding up, interning, and executing Avergnonian citizens, mostly Wacee. By the end of the war, over 800,000 Avergnonians would die in the genocide.
• July 7 - Zamastanian and East Chanchajillan forces invade northern Avergnon to reach the eastern front. East Chanchajillan forces begin their long operation against the DSC at the Battle of Gladenland.

• November 17 - DSC invades northern Vulkaria.
• November 23 - Battle of Svedalburg; DSC captures the key Vulkarian port city.
• November 24 - Bredehuizen falls to DSC forces.
• November 31 - DSC forces attempt to take the Grand Canal in central Vulkaria, but are repelled in one of the few Vulkarian victories.
• December 5 - The 1950 Colteaux Conference; Treaty signed by Drambenburg, the DSC, Rumaztria, Egilanak, Niswibik, Barangadesh, and Styrae establishes the "League Powers".
• December 7 - Rumaztrian forces bomb the Haduastan holdout island of Hachi, resulting in extensive damage and casualties.
• December 17 - Gashuera declares independence from Avergnon, joins the League, and begins interning prisoners captured by the DSC.

1951

• January 4 - Rumaztria invades southern Vulkaria.
• January 5 - Operation Coldfront begins; Egilanak and Niswibik invade Beatavic, bringing both nations into the war, with Beatavic joining the Allies.
• January 10 - Battle of Port Badmun; Rumaztrian planes bomb Beatavic forces in Amstelveen's harbor. Hundreds of sailors are killed.
• January 11 - Battle of Klingtern; Egilanak forces push Beatavic army into a retreat.
• January 20 - Battle of Gran Telea; Egilanak forces lay siege to the Beatavic capital of Gran Telea, but are not able to capture the city.
• April 7 - Ilhaveia, Lutharia is liberated by Zamastanian forces, but Drambenburgians under the command of field commander Tilmann Fieber lay siege to the city.

• June 14 - The Battle of Ilhaveia ends; Zamastanian forces and Lutharian defenders push Drambenburg out of the city after nearly two months of fighting. 12,000 Zamastanians were killed, making the siege one of their deadliest engagements of the war.
• August 28 - Ruskayn joins the Allies.

• October 6 - Battle of Lalkot; Haduastan revolutionaries, backed by Beleroskov, liberate Lalkot from Rumaztrian forces. Rumaztria begins a nearly two year long siege to try and retake the city.

1952

• April 7 - Operation Pelican Spanning begins; the largest amphibious military operation in history sees the forces of Zamastan, Emmiria, Quetana, Ruskayn, Caspiaa, Rio Palito, Vœyetska, and Albarine landing on the northwest stretch of Vulkaria. They begin a long operation to drive the DSC out of Vulkaria.
• April 8 - Battle of Sennepal; Zamastanian forces storm the coast of Sennepal to establish an additional beachhead. With over 20,000 casualties, it is one of the deadliest ever battles of Zamastanian forces.
• April 13 - Siege of Bredehuizen begins; Ruskaynian forces lay siege to the city of Bredehuizen, Vulkaria. The fighting lasts nearly a month, with over 69,000 Sanguine soldiers killed.
• May 1 - Battle of Asleen; Zamastanian forces are pushed out of Asleen by counterattacking DSC forces under the command of Drambenburgian general Dan-Jürgen von Essen. 14,000 Zamastanians are killed in the deadliest ever battle in the history of the Zamastanian Armed Forces.
• May 3 - Battle of Oudschot; Emmirian forces liberate the city of Oudschot, Vulkaria. Over 9,000 Emmirians are killed during the battle, making it the deadliest engagement for the Emmirians during the war.

1953

• July 16 - Battle of Pasukasi; Allied forces land in Haduastan, beginning the campaign to liberate the country.
• July 29 - Battle of Saritok
• August 3 - Battle of Kangletwa
• September 12 - Battle of Baybuk; Rumaztrian forces withdraw fully from Haduastan.
• September 18 - Battle of Pachian; Allied forces invade Rumaztria through Haduastan, marking the first battle on Rumaztrian soil.
• September 27 - Battle of Karlsberg; the capital of Rumaztria falls to East Besmenian forces, the Emperor and war ministers flee Allied advances.
• October 6 - Battle of Khlotong; Rumaztrian Emperor Alex Heinemann surrenders, ending the war in the Southern Hemisphere and leading to the full liberation of Vulkaria.

1954

Invasion of Drambenburg

• February 28 - Battle of Affolsau; Zamastanian and allied forces in northern Drambenburg break through the defensive line for the first time since the trenches were dug in 1949, forcing Drambenburgian forces to fall back several miles and create a new line.
• March 5 - Battle of Bloomfeld; Drambenburgian forces attempt a counter-attack against advancing Zamastanians, but are pushed further back into Drambenburg.
• March 29 - Battle of Staventer; Drambenburgian forces are pushed out of Staventer by Avergnonian and East Chanchajillan forces, leading to the liberation of Shoassau.
• April 19 -
• June 6 - Battle of Angouburg; Zamastanian forces liberate Angouburg on the 17th of June. Drambenburgian forces under the command of General Rudolf Polzl are ordered into a full tactical retreat to defend central Drambenburg.
• July 13 - Operation Candy Boot; Zamastanian, Emmirian, Caspiaan, Elbresian and Quetanan forces land along the central-eastern coast of Drambenburg, fully seizing the cities of Eidberg, Weisbaden, and Donehal by the 23rd of July and establishing an additional from within Drambenburg.

The offensive stalled on August 2nd, leading to three more months of stalemate ground fighting and unrelenting aerial bombardments against Drambenburgian cities. The enclave of Den Hagg held out during the remainder of the war, as did small pockets of resistance in most captured cities.

• August 2 - The Allied offensive into Drambenburg is stalled once again after the Battle of Midlebet. Allied forces will advance no further during the remainder of the war, and instead begin resorting to constant aerial bombings of major metropolitan centers like Lerbin, Durenurbergering, and Essen. Hundreds of thousands of Drambenburgians die in the next three months of bombings.
• November 12 - Drambenburg surrenders at the offer of a peace treaty and the sparing of Lerbin, ending the war at 11:59 PM.

Post-War

• November 13 - General Park Carcoali of the Zamastanian Armed Forces meets with Emperor Geoff III von Wettin in Ilhaveia, Lutharia, to sign the official armistice treaty, the Armistice of Bratton Park.
• November 14 - President Marvin Gaviria and President Rufino Soares meet in San Beausoleil, Rio Palito, to begin drafting the official surrender terms for Drambenburg.
• December 1 - Empreror von Wettin signs the Treaty of Antirault, officially ending the war with Drambenburg's surrender.
