The Grefuse System is a method and grading system that ranks the level of power and the method to apply magic for infusion. It is used to rate the strength of infused firearms and apply magic to weapons. The ranking goes from 1 to 16. Lower grades have less recoil, are cheaper and easier to carry along with being quite accurate but are less powerful. While higher grades are vice versa.

The system was invented by the legendary engineer, Nova Rampeer, in 15XX. The system was first applied in 15XX to a Titan-1 light tank. The system was then applied to multiple other weapons and firearms, including rifles, submachine guns, handguns, anti-material rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, machine guns, grenades, missiles, flamethrowers, melee weapons, swords, spears, shields and armour.

Most famously the Karthian uniformed services uses this system to standardize it's weapons.

History

Nova Rampeer, first got the idea when she was watching a soldier use a rifle and she noticed the recoil and how hard it was to control the weapon.

And she decided that there should be a system for magic infused weapons. She spent about a month, coming up with the basic concept of the system and application methods and started designing the system. The Grefuse System was finally completed in 15XX.

When the system was finalized, she immediately went to work, trying to find a way to implement the system in weapons and firearms. She first worked on a light tank, the Titan-1. After many failed attempts, the system was a success.

Then with some government funding, she moved on to small firearms, starting from the simplest and cheapest. She would eventually implement the system on multiple types of firearms and created the 16 grades and the infusion method.

The Grefuse System would eventually become one of the biggest breakthroughs in the history of the world and be used as a standardization method by the Tyreian Armed Forces.

Infusion Method

The infusion method uses indirect magic in the form of enchantments.

These are applied to weapons in a certain way called the Rampeer Method, which involves the placement and direction of the enchantment, the type of enchantment and the concentration of the enchantment.

All enchantments are generally sealed by a rune to ensure that it stays in place but explosives and shells don't use runes as they can both allow the enchantment to not fade away but also stop the explosions.
