The Brytisc Grenadier Regiment, (4th, abbreviated GRENS), is a regiment of the Confederate Brytisc Fleet, with a recruiting area covering much of eastern Anglaland, including the national capital of Lundene. It currently consists of two primary battalions and a reserve battalion, and is headquartered in Lundene under the command of Colonel Alicia Keystone.

Structure

The Regiment is split into three battalions, with a total strength of 1405 active-duty personnel.

General Staff

  • Col. Alicia Keystone, commanding
    • Regimental Sergeant-Major Alkmund of Nansdale
    • Regimental Quartermaster-Sergeant Brihtgiua Todd
  • Lt. Col. Zakariyya Bousaid, 1st Battalion
  • Lt. Col. Ramsay Mac an Aba, 2nd Battalion
  • Lt. Col. Fenna Hoekstra, 3rd Battalion

1st Battalion (The Grenadiers)

The first battalion, the Grenadiers, is the oldest battalion of the regiment and was originally a pair of companies specially formed at the request of Queen Synnove II to make use of the new technology of grenades. These two companies were formed of the tallest and strongest men and women from across the Brytisc regiments. Today the battalion contains the 1st command company, the 2nd Light Company, and three mechanized companies (3rd, 4th, and 5th). It is commanded by Lt. Col. Zakariyya Bousaid.

2nd Battalion (The Foot Guards)

The second battalion, the Food Guards, traces its roots back to a unit formed during the Brytisc Civil War as the personal guard of Queen Leila I following the declaration of neutrality by the Lantern Guard. Following the end of the war the battalion was absorbed back into the regular military. Today the battalion contains a motorized company (6th), two armoured companies (7th and 8th), and the regimental engineering company (9th). The 10th Company is the regimental helicopter company. It is commanded by Lt. Col. Ramsay Mac an Aba.

2nd Platoon, 6th Co., "The Squad"

2nd platoon, 6th Company is famous for its 2015 capture of the Charles Norris, a Dchechnian-flagged 'merchant ship' which was being used as a smuggling vessel and base of operations by the Pepper pirate lord Cordell Walker. Despite being a motorized unit, members of 2nd Platoon ID'd Cordell's right-hand man on deck as the ship weighed anchor and, backed up by Regimental-Sergeant Major Gandalf Gra and two members of 9th Platoon, launched an impromptu attack on the vessel.

As the ship was already beginning to leave port, the platoon piled into a commandeered bus and ramped it onto the deck of the stolen freighter. Catching the pirates completely by surprise with their lightning-fast attack, killing 12 pirates and capturing 15 more, including Cordell Walker himself.
