Producers were in talks about having Silvia Sanacruza on the cast due to her being the ex-wife of infamous cult leader, [[John Longetti]], who had just engineered a massacre of 13 000 lives the year before. Sanacruza spoke to the press and said that she was approached but felt like her appearance would only be for ratings as the massacre was still fresh in peoples' eyes. Many fans threatened to boycott the show due to this. Sanacruza would wait until Season 8 to make her appearance, feeling like it was a more appropriate time.
