The Aeolus is a single seat, twinjet, all-weather stealth fighter produced by the Commonality of Syara. The Aeolus serves as an air superiority fighter with additional precision strike capability and entered service in the Commonality Air Force in March 2021.
Originally envisioned in the early 2000s, significant development of the Aeolus did not begin until 2014, with a first flying prototype constructed in 2016. Substantial support for the program's development was recieved from Cacerta, who shared experience and technical data from development of Cacerta's own stealth aircraft, the AFASF-13 Wyvern Air Superiority Fighter. The Aeolus is the first stealth aircraft produced by Syara and was formally introduced into the CAF for testing in late 2019 to early 2020. Combat test training was completed throughout 2020, and the first batch of 6 fighters were officially inducted as active elements of the CAF in early 2021. The CAF is expected to acquire at least 150 additional aircraft over the course of the next three years.
The Aeolus's doctrinal role is reportedly to act in part as a high-altitude interceptor against the AFSB-2 Spettro Strategic Bombers employed by Ruvelka.
