The Incident at Dat Chim Se was a friendly fire incident that occurred at the vicinity of Dat Chim Se during Operation Minh Thanh, in which bad oversight and miscommunication in the field resulted in the Allied army sustaining 2,384 dead and 4,142 being incapacitated, critically and not, from airstrikes and artillery strikes deploying white phosphorus and napalm, and regular explosive ordinance respectively.
