Alsace is the third-largest city in Shoassau with a population of 129,280, following the capital and largest city of Staventer and the second-largest city of Auvergne. It is the prolific seat of the federal state of Alsace, and is a prominent city for economic, cultural, and historical Shoassauan nationalism. There are four institutions of higher education in the city, most notably the University of Alsace, one of the ten largest universities in Euronia, and the Alsace University of Applied Sciences.
