Zion is the theological capital of Deseret, and the headquarters of the Smithic Church. It was founded by Charles Baumer after the death of Gregor John Smith and the end of the Smithic Exodus. It has a permanent population of around 1.5 million, but sees upwards of 4 million pilgrims a year. As the holy city of the Smithic faith, it is closed to all non-Smithics.
