Royal Caledon is an Owayan brown ale produced by Tete & Sons which was introduced in 1984. Named after HMNS Caledon, the Imperial Navy warship which Sir Kuray Tete had served on, the beer is based on Frankenlischian styles of brown ale which were popular amongst seamen. Royal Caledon is marketed with nautical themes and has become Tete & Sons' most popular beer, outselling their flagship product Tobo's. It is exported across the Empire and Commonwealth and is Tete & Sons' highest produced product with 50 million litres being produced a year.
