Swev is a Vyvlander alcoholic drinks brewing company, best know for its mead and beer, such as Swev Goyd. It is based in the town of Swev, in Bajre province, and was founded in 1763. As well as selling drinks inside Vyvland, approximately two-thirds of the company's revenue comes from beer exports to countries such as Swilatia, which alone makes up 30% of Swev's market, and Luziyca. Since 2006, Swev has been the largest alcoholic drinks company in Vyvland by total revenue. Major international competitors include Iglesian Hanka and Nevan Estella.
All of Swev's Vyvlander beer, and some beer for export, is produced in a plant on the outskirts of the town of Swev, southwest of Lyksdal, in Vyvland. The majority of international production is handled in Jerusalem, Luziyca, which has much better access to ports for international shipping. Most of the ingredients are sourced from Vyvland, except in countries where this is not feasible, and many are sourced from the area around the brewery, including the vast majority of the barley used for brewing.
Swev Goyd is Swev's best-selling beer, accounting for 52% of the company's income. It is a pale ale in traditional Vyvlander style, and contains 4.8% alcohol. It was the second product launched by the company (after mead), in 1793, and has been produced in various forms since.
