Silver's Island was hotly contested during the [[Colonial Wars (Meridon)|Colonial Wars]] for this reason. While Silver's Island has been primarily home to fishing and agricultural pursuits including logging, it has seen a growth of service and industry economies in recent decades, including in tourism.
