Feodor Nicholas Rurik Andrew Ivanov is a former Tsesarevich of the Tsardom of Velikoslavia and is one of the brothers of Alexis V. He was born into the title, Marquis of Ervastapol, along with his brother Peter. It was believed Feodor was disinherited by default from the succession in 2015 when he came out as gay. His elder brother has never publicly addressed the subject of inheritance, however. He currently retains his titles and resides as a noble in Velikoslavia and remains 11th in line for the throne.
Early Life and Education
Feodor was born on the 15th of September 2004 as the last child of his father during a particularly harsh snow storm in Turmonov Castle in Vilna. His mother had been visiting her friend, the Duchess of Vilna, when she had unexpectedly went into labor three weeks early. It was later determined this was caused by the stress of the sudden passing of Nicholas II, her husband. earlier in the day. The Duke of Vilna sent word to the capital and had castle placed under heavy guard. Feodor was born later that evening at eight o'clock PM local time and named solely by his mother since his father was unable to be present. His fourteen year old brother and newly crowned ruler, Alexis V recognized him as a member of the House of Ivanov, which gave him a spot in the succession.
He was moved to Velinov Palace after a few weeks spent in Vilna where he was brought up by his mother and a number of midwives and servants. At age six, he began to attend the Gilded Academy for Boys where he would attend for the next 12 years. He continued to live in the palace between semesters which his much older brothers playing the role as his father figures. When he turned 15, he was officially granted the ancestral lands and properties of the formerly vacant seat of Marquis of Ervastapol.
Controversy
In 2021 at 16 years of age, Feodor formally announced on his personal AdTab that he was coming out as homosexual. He received severe backlash from members of the clergy and certain members of the nobility and it was widely expected he would be disinherited by his brother. Instead, his brother declined to inherit him and publicly that he supported his brother's decision to live his own life and would not be removing him from the succession. This decision was challenged under the Noble Court of Peerages by several notable high ranking nobles but ultimately it was determined that the ruling monarch was within his rights to determine the line of succession and no disinheritance could occur without his explicit approval. Feodor temporarily moved to Isildor Lodge in Anovsk in northern Velikoslavia while the media storm blew over. He moved back to court officially on his 17th birthday and currently resides in the Velinov Palace with his family. In late 2022, he moved to Fjalnir with his twin brother, Peter, Grand Prince of Velikoslavia.
Current Life and Political Activism
Feodor is currently finishing out his last year of formal education at Velinov Prepatory after transferring from the Gilded Academy for Boys at the end of 2021. Since his announcement, he has began to work with several LGBT youth organizations in the more liberal larger cities of Velinoslavia such as Levograd and Saint Dumont. He also donates significantly to Hope House, an organization that takes in orphaned youth that were kicked out of their homes.
