Portmon Personal Market (commonly known as PerMart) is a multinational retail company headquartered in Portmon, Malgrave. It operates a number of convenience stores in the country and effectively serves as one of the main competitors to MalMart, although, it is primarily focused on smaller local stores as opposed to supermarkets.

In Malgrave PPM stores are simply referred to as Personal Markets or PerMarts. As they are often located near residential complexes, workplaces or schools a wide selection of the population use PerMarts to have an affordable lunch with colleagues or when they want to create a quick picnic.

History

Portmon Personal Market was established as a singular store in Portmon on the 1st of September 1940, however, due to the option presented within store to cook your items and the unique sit down arrangement in store the company was able to absorb other convenience stores in the region before eventually expanding to cover all of Malgrave.

PerMarts were one of the few companies in Malgrave not to suffer major negative repercussions during the Lost Decade, as a majority of Malgraveans switched to the company in an effort to reduce their costs. As a result PerMart was able to contribute funds to charitable efforts in the country which further enhanced its reputation, and the company is one of the most beloved brands in the country.

Since 2000 PerMart has expanded overseas into Mystrian and non-Mystrian markets. PerMart has a large presence in the Dornalian Republic, Silverdale, Kouralia and a small presence in Breheim.

MalTube

In recent years a trend has started to emerge on MalTube involving content creators filming the lunches and dinners that they purchase and cook in PerMart stores, with noodles, arancini, fish sausages and other dishes being common alongside a variety of local dishes and popular drinks. The Malgravean Broadcasting Corporation has linked the phenomenon to a few Dornalian content creators on MalTube, however, the format has spread with a few Malgravean, Silverdalean and Kouralian content creators doing their own videos.

It has been reported that PerMart is quite pleased with this trend, as beyond their advertising value the response to this content has spurred several improvements to PerMart stores in response to criticism including modernisations to sit-down portions of stores to increase the comfort of customers.
