It is a horizontal band of gold, white, green, white, and then gold, with the green twice as wide as the white or gold, with the Emblem of Nainan superimposed towards the side of the hoist. It is commonly known as the "Great Thọ Flag" (Nainese: 国圻大壽; Quốc kỳ đại Thọ), named after the Thọ or Shou symbol used on the emblem.
