The House of Hohgarton is one of the most prominent and important dynasties in Europe. It was founded in 867 when Helene of Kassel became the Countess of Hanover. Under the long leadership of its Founder, the House was loyal to the Dukes of Saxony before being raised to that level by the King of East Francia, thus becoming loyal to the East Frankish Crown. During the Dissolution of the Kingdoms, the House set itself up independently and began to bring order to the crisis that followed. Decades later, the Kingdom of Germany would be formed under their aegis and later the reformation of the Holy Roman Empire. Currently, the Empire is poised to subsume Frisia and remove the Irish holdings of Laighin from the Continent.
