The House of Dimitrios is a Norumbian royal house of Latin origin. The family rose to prominence in 1782 when founder Theodorus I wrested control of the Duchy of Patrinos in a long and bloody conflict known as the Thirty Year War. The house retained itself as the Dukes and Duchesses of Patrinos until the 1852 when the Articles of Federation were signed by the Senate, starting the process of moving the country toward independence. The ruling Latin Emperors reorganised the structure of Belfras to have a single family at it's head that swears allegience to them. Philippos became the first Dimitrios to become the Sovereign Prince.
