Operation Lithobolos was a Syaran offensive during the Zemplen War.
Having been stuck in static positions along the Matra Mountains since the Ruvelkan Autumn Counter-Offensive, 8th Army of Army Group Gamma was ordered to attempt to break the stalemate by pushing towards the city of Kerepes, located roughly 115 kilometers behind enemy lines. The Syarans hoped to create a path that moved laterally through the mountain range, rather than attempt a go-around or a flanking maneuver. Not wanting to take unnecessary casualties, 8th Army's commander Colonel General Emanuel Bilić ordered a slow rate of advance, steadily clearing critial mountain peaks, valleys, and plateaus. The Syarans began their offensive on 9 February 2010, and despite initial good progress became stalled by increasingly fierce Ruvelkan resistance. After four days of limited to no progress, Bilić ordered a halt to the offensive.
