The Union of Revolutionary Collectivist Systems, more commonly reffered to as the Collectivist Union or URCS, is an interstellar entity centered around the capital planet Kvirograd in the Milky Way galaxy. The Union controls 25 systems, for a total of 32 inhabitable planets, 79 uninhabitable planets, 76 dwarf planets and over 310 moons. The population of 612,742,248,425, is mostly located in the western fringes of the Union, as the eastern systems have either been only recently colonised or are composed of mostly uninhabitable planets.

Military
The Armed Forces of the Collectivist Union, also known as the Armed Forces of the Revolution are a massive organisation that act as the protector of the Union and the enforcer of its will. The Armed Forces consist of the Army, responsible for land warfare, the Navy, responsible for space warfare and planetary invasions, and the Air Force, tasked with atmospheric and orbital supremacy, and the Spaceborne Troops (KDV) that consist of elite infantry used for orbital and air drop operations. The Navy mantains its own land force contigent, the Naval Infantry, with each vessel having its own detachment of Naval Infantrymen. The Navy also includes the Naval Aviation (AV-MF), which consists of fighters, bombers and other craft onboard the Navy's ships. The Naval Aviation rivals the Air Force in size and quality of equipment. The Air Force also includes the Air Defence Command (PVO) which controls surface-to-orbit weaponry and missile silos.
The Collectivist Revolutionary Army is the massive land arm of the Union's Armed Forces. The standard operational unit of the CRA is the Division, consisting of several Regiments, Battalions and other support units. Divisions are organised into Armies (each Army generally has 4-5 Divisions) who are in turn - at wartime - organised into Fronts (each Front generally has 4 Divisions). The CRA also has numerous Independent Regiments and Battalions to attach to larger formations in order to provide additional support. The Army also has its own Air Arm, the Army Aviation, which mostly consists of gunships and utility VTOL craft and shuttles. The CRA is a entirely mechanised force that is made up from mostly conscripts, but has a solid core of professional officers and career soldiers. CRA doctrine relies on artillery superiority, shock, and speed, with Divisions being relatively small but packing heavy firepower while retaining operational agility. As such, the Army makes use of heavy but mobile armoured vehicles and massive formations of mechanised infantry, as well as the heavy battlesuits of the famed Colossus Project to support them in battle.
The Collectivist Revolutionary Navy (VMF) is arguably the second most important branch of the military, though probably equally funded as the Army. Collectivist naval doctrine differs from most in that it does not really on massive dreadnoughts or close range broadsides of devastating kinetic weapons to take out enemy forces. Instead, the Navy is based around long-range missile strikes, with each Collectivist vessel having a massive array of missile and torpedo launchers to pound the enemy from afar into submission with massive swarms of guided munitions. Long-range bomber raids for space denial or also a vital part of Collectivist doctrine, and as such, the Navy's bombers are equipped with independent FTL drives and assorted survival systems so that they are not dependent or larger capital ships to transport them from system to system, instead, jumping to target and egress after they deliver their long-range payload. These bombers, as with all the navy's strike craft, belong to the Naval Aviation (AV-MF) sub-branch within the navy. The Navy also includes its own ground warfare branch, the Naval Infantry. The Naval Infantry are an elite force, and have been trained for orbital, airborne and amphibious insertions, zero-g combat, and ship-to-ship boarding.
The Collectivist Revolutionary Air Force (VVS) is considered third in importance of the main branches of the Armed Forces. The Air Force is tasked mainly to defend the planets and star systems of the Union alongside local Navy garrisons. It mainly consists of small attack craft such as multi-role fighters, interceptors, ground attack craft, transport aircraft and long-range bombers. It also controls some larger ships such as corvettes for in-system patrol. Air Force craft mostly operate from airbases and spaceports on planets and orbital space stations. The CRAF is not supposed to act as an offensive arm in an interstellar war, as the Navy takes the role of air support and orbital, space and atmospheric supremacy. However, the CRAF is vital in the defence of star systems, and harasses incoming fleets with long-range bomber raids and prevents orbital assaults on friendly planets. Regardless it is possible for the Navy to requisition Air Force assets and personnel if the need arises, and there have been examples in past conflicts when CRAF squadrons and regiments have been transported on Navy ships to frontline systems and worlds to support ground forces and ensure superiority in planetary atmospheres. The CRAF also includes the Air Defence Command, which controls the surface-to-air and surface-to-orbit weaponry of a planet's defence force.
Last are the Spaceborne (or Space-Landing) Troops (KVD), which while an independent command, are considered a sub-branch. The KVD are an elite force and have the largest percentage of professional enlisted personnel than any other branch, followed by the Navy. The Spaceborne are trained in every manner of insertion, from mass orbital assault in drop pods, to low-level gunship ingress, to stealthy HALO drop from the air. They are in many ways similar to the Naval Infantry, but an independent, much larger force, and much more focused on planetary assault. Like the Naval Infantry, they make use of specialised armour and advanced weaponry, as well as lighter variants of Colossus battlesuits. After landing - and depending on the situation - the KVD can fight as light infantry, or an conventional elite mechanised force if their specialised vehicles, artillery and battlesuits are dropped with them.
Politics
The Collectivist Union is a Single-Party "Collectivist" State, werein the Collectivist Party is the leading force of the Collectivist society and the nucleus of its political system. The Premier is the head of state and the General Secretary of the Collectivist Party is the head of government.
The Collectivist Union’s revolutionary society is organized into collectives, in other words, into groups of people sharing a common interest or objective.
There are two types of collectives:
- Local Collectives manage the common life of entire planets. They are responsible for organizing the existence of their members rationally: energy distribution, waste collection, and so on. These collectives are elected by the local populace. Examples: Kvirovgrod Local Collective, Zavod Local Collective etc.
- The Central Collectives administer a single but particularly complex aspect at Union level: the army or the political direction of the Union, for example. The Central Collectives are elected in a Union-wide election. Examples: Central Collective of Health, Central Collective of Defence etc.
To be elected to a Collective, one must be a member of the the Collectivist Party, must have served his conscription in the Military, and must not have a criminal record.
All collectives, whether local or central, send representatives (the number of repressenatives depends on the size of the collective) to the People's Collectivist Assembly, the legislative branch, the. The bicameral People's Collectivist Assembly, made up of the 30,000-member Higher Assembly and the 20,000-member Lower Assembly, then elects the Supreme Collective (often abbreviated as Vykol, from "Vysshiy Kollektivnyy"), responsible for establishing the Colectivist Union’s major political orientations, and acts as the executive branch of the Collectivist government.
