The Mozos de Escuadra (English: Troopers), also commonly called Mozos, is the law enforcement agency of the Principality of Monsa. It was founded in May 12 1836, day that is celebrated as the Day of the Mozo (Día del Mozo) in Monsa, as a militia to secure routes in between towns and villages, and protecting borders from Cassonnais intromissions. Today, the Mozos handle most law enforcement affairs in the Principality such as criminal investigations, affairs concerning judicial matters, terrorism, immigration and borders control.
