Although Meredonne had been explored and somewhat colonized by 1000 CE, a well known wave of western colonization of the Avadian Peninsula took place between about 1400 CE and 1700 CE. During this time period, western colonial powers began to explore and claim the land and natural resources of the peninsula resulting in the collapse of the Avadian Civilization and other smaller indigenous nations. These powers established several settler-colonial states that eventually became the modern-day nations of Austilos, Layfet, and Moroavia.
