The Trans Adula Fair Commerce Accord, often shortened to TAFCA, is an international trade agreement between a select number of member countries who have signed the accord.
The accord establishes cooperation between members to reduce trade barriers, import quotas and tariffs, to enhance liberalization of trade in services, and to increase trade of goods and services with each other. The agreement can also be called an "economic integration agreement", which is the unification of economic policies between the different members, through the partial or full abolition of tariff and non-tariff restrictions on trade. Additionally, due to the nature of the agreement, a nation must be a part of Adula as per the name.
TAFCA was created on May 6th, 2011, by governing parties of Austrolis, Timeria, and Vitosium, with Somodi being inducted soon afterwards.
On May 6th, 2019 TAFCA members began to discuss expanding the organization and opening it up to members across Adula. TAFCA members began a diplomatic mission to get other nations involved in TAFCA. The benefit of TAFCA peaked interest and the first to join was the Islamic Republic of Emmiria alongside the newly formed democracy Republic of Kossmil. A few days later both the Federation of Rulani and the Republic of Serra Leon joined as full members, and several more nations across the western half of the continent followed suit.
