Beatavic (Beatavician: Prachtige Kust), officially the Republic of Beatavic (Beatavician: De Republiek van Mooie Kust), is a nation located in Euronia bordering the North Samson Ocean to the east, Niswibik to the south, Tunio to the north and Drezquenia to the east. It consists of 11 provinces, and is ruled by Prime Minister Marlijn Zallandt. The federal capital is Gran Telea however, the status of capital city has been temporarily moved to Amstelvoort due to the 2021 Beatavic Tsunami and Earthquake.

Approximately 30,000 years ago, the Askuwheteau first settled Beatavic most likely to flee from rival tribes based off cave writings. As time passed on civilitations would be created, most notibly the Vronses who settled near the Gran Telea river however that would change as disease plagued the civilitations and would kill off most civilitations in Beatavic. The remaining civilitations would flee. The country would again be settled by tribes 600-700 years ago and would remain in Beatavic until 1531 when a group of people from Den Haag, a region/territory in Drambenburg would settle nearby the Telea tribe. When encountered the settlers would see the tribe as a threat and would kill off the tribe. Shortly after that Delmenkirchen would be established, which would be named the capital city. However in 1899 it would be renamed to Gran Telea.

In 1948 Beatavic would enter it's worst economic disaster, with 3/4 jobs lost and 14% would go homeless and even forced Eldert Groen to resign, prompting a special election. Koen Cerfontain won the special election and lifted 5% of people out of homelessness while creating 500,000 jobs, mainly in Infrastructure. In 1949 Beatavic would be involved in The World War, creating 300,000 war jobs, which lifted the nation from an economic depression and lifting an additional 4,000,000 people out of poverty.

Beatavic is a Federal parliamentary constitutional republic. The nation's head of state is the prime minister. Beatavic has been a member of Associative Council of Neutrality as of October 16th, 2021.

Etymology

The origin of the name of Beatavic comes from the word Beatóvïc used by tribes in what is now Beatavic to describe the area they settled in. The meaning remains disputed however most sources claim it means Cold Mountain.

History

Prehistoric

The oldest traces of human life in what is now Beatavic date from approximately 800,000 years ago. For over 2000 years, the inhabitants were confronted with harsh weather conditions as inhabitants settled in what is now northern Neskauhólmur along with living a Nomadic hunter-gatherer life. The Beatavician tribes are thought to date from the Bronze Age or the Iron Age. From southern Niswibik and north Egilanak, they expanded north, east, and west, coming into contact with the Tunioan and Sutaland tribes.

Sutas conquest

Under King Nicolaas Vlierman, the Kingdom of Beatavic began to invade lands inhabited by the Tunioan tribes. In 19 AD, three Tunioan legions were defeated by King Maup van Schelven. By 100 AD, Beatavician tribes had settled along the shores of Tunio, occupying most of modern Tunio. However, around 291, Tunioan peoples in rebellion broke into Beatavician-controlled lands. After the invasion of Sutas in 375, and with the decline of Beatavic's kingdom from 395, Tunioan tribes moved farther southwest: the Sutas established the Kingdom of Sutaland and pushed east to subjugate the shores, and areas of what is today eastern Beatavic were inhabited by Western Sutas tribes.

Areas of Beatavic independent of Sutas control were referred to as Magna Beatavici. Modern scholars sometimes refer to the Magna Beatavici as Free Beatavic or Beatavic Barbaricum. As parts of Sutas social engineering efforts, large numbers of Beatavicians were settled within Sutas territory in order to prevent revolts by resident tribes.

Empire of Beatavic

The Kingdoms of Sutaland and Tunioan tribes held varying degrees of control over the Beatavician expanse from 500-982 AD, with constant warfares plaguing the region. In 1012, Florentijn Stuiverman began his conquest of The Kingdom of Niswibik and Egilanak and established the Beatavician empire. After conquering Egilanak and Niswibik, Florentijn Stuiverman would conquer Sutaland and slaughtered the populous, approximately 1/5 of Sutaland's population were killed known as the Great Sutaland Slaughter.

In 1102, Korneel Fijnewever would begin to conquer parts (TO BE CONTINUED)

Shortly after establishing a government, laws and a permanent capital city, Nije-Twilhaar Hengelaar, a former merchant would win the 1534 Beatavic prime ministeral election in a landslide. In 1563 while Prime Minister Naud Essen was riding his horse he would be fatally shot and killed, this would be marked as the first assasination of a Beatavician prime minister. In 1593 monarchists would attempt a Coup D'état which would fail. 2 were killed and 5 were injured.

Civil War of 1604

In March 1604, following the 1593 Gran Telea Coup D'état, a civil war would break out between the Government and Monarchists. The Monarchists would push as far as Amstelvoort and South Gran Telea. In June 1604 Monarchist forces would push into Gran Telea, targeting the Prime Minister's house but 10 minutes later government forces showed up and both sides would fight fiercely, known as the The Battle of Gran Telea which would be one of the bloodiest battles in Beatavician history. The government forces would be victorious and would push the monarchists into Antringen, a settlement south of Amstelvoort. When pushed into Antringen the monarchists surrender, bringing an end to the civil war which killed 4,000, injured 5,000 and 400 went missing, which 235 out of the 400 have been found. The war also cost approximately 60,000 Beatavician marks in damage, or 100,000 marks as of 2020.

Post Civil War

In 1605 6 people would be tried for treason, all of them being affiliated with the monarchist movement. Those 6 people included the leader, 3 commanders and 2 soldiers. The leader was sentenced to decapitation of the head, the 2 commanders were sentenced to life in prison and the 2 soldiers were sentenced to 10 years in prison. The judge could have given the two life in prison but acknowledging that they were forced, the judge sentenced them to 10 years however they served 6 years. The war also caused major damage which put Beatavic into a recession that lasted for 7 months.
