Prime Minister before election

John Largan
Social Democrats (minor-majority)

Elected Prime Minister

John Largan
Social Democrats (minority)

The 2014 Esthursian general election was held on 6 April, 2014, as per the Constitution term limits. The election resulted in a continued Social Democrat-led coalition in the House of Barons, however the Social Democrats failed to win another Members majority as they had in 2011. The Conservative Union also became the largest party in the Barons, however due to the successful coalition negotiations by Prime Minister John Largan with other left-leaning parties, did not form the government.
