Marzstra (officially The Marzstran Republic) is an island country located on the meeting point between the Astariax, Northern and Elstemv tectonic plates and in the middle of the Paisi Ocean. It covers an area of 1,372 km2 (530 sq mi) with a hilly landscape and temperate oceanic climate. The capital and largest city is Metloss, with a population of about 232 thousand inhabitants.
Etymology
The name for Marzstra likely comes from the name of the native Finno-Urgic tribe, which already inhabited the island when the Riamese came, however, there is no clear origin, and this is only a speculation.
Language
Marzstra uses Common and Marzstran as it’s official languages. Both of these are widely spoken, however Marzstran is more used.

Subdivisions
Valitsalad
Marzstra is divided into 5 Valitsalad (Governmental areas)[2]. These are: Läänala, Lõuneskosala, Põhjaskosa, Kaguosa and Kirdeosa. Each of these is represented by its own Regionaalminister (Regional minister)[2]. The capital is not its own Valitsalad, instead, it is located in Põhjaskosa. Valitsalad have the most autonomy out of all the subdivisions, as they get to decide local infrastructure projects, local environmental policy, local economy, etc. However, these decisions can be overruled by any institution with higher governing power than Valitsalad.
Riigid
Valitsalad are further divided into Riigid (Counties). Each Valitsalad consists of 5-7 Riigid. Riigid have small autonomy, and only make small and mostly unimportant decisions.
Culture
Cuisine
Marzstran cuisine offers a wide range of meals, including vegetarian (but not vegan) options. Insects and worms are a common theme, but so is beef, pork and chicken. Marzstran cuisine often includes potatoes, rice or vegetables as they were widely available during The Terrible famine, which has influenced Marzstran cuisine.
Praetudussid
Praetudussid (Fried worms)[2] is a common Marzstran dish that become popular during the Kohutav näljahäda (The Terrible famine). It consists of fried rice, fried mealworms, and vegetables.
It is very popular among tourists who visit Marzstra, due to how uncommon and "bizzare" it is to outsiders. It tastes like popcorn or shrimp with fried rice and vegetables.
