Binyomin Ephraim Hanasi, J.D. M.B.A. (born September 23rd, 1990) is a Tarsan politician and businessman who is currently the youngest elected deputy in the Grand Synod of Tarsas in its current term. He is the heir to the Roth Group's Tarsan media subsidiary Bel-Och Media Holdings, and because of an absence of Tarsan laws on conflict of interests, continues to retain his directorship on the Bel-Och board despite serving as an elected Synod deputy.

The Hanasis are related to another prominent Tarsan Jewish family, the Roths, who are their first cousins on the maternal branch of the family. Thus, Hanasi and dual Tarso-Yisraeli (and Tarsan life peer) Michael Roth are first cousins once removed.

He is a graduate of the elite Tarsan Imperial University of Political and General Governmental Sciences as well as the prestigious law and business schools of the King David University in Yisrael.

Hanasi is one of the most prominent Tarsan Jews in the public sphere today, and has earned growing popularity across the Tarsan electorate for his outspoken and sharp-witted rhetorical style. He is a practicing Orthodox Jew who is married with three children.

Cultural and political image

Hanasi traveled in elite social circles in Tarsas and, to some degree, in Yisrael during his youth and adolescent years. His family's media empire and familial ties to the Roths opened doors for the rising star, including attending the quadannual Imperial Court of the Hellenic Empire at Argios Palace in his teenage years. It was rumored his cousin Michael Roth secured a private audience with Romulus X of Tarsas.

In 2018, he launched a campaign against embattled National Progressive League elected deputy Parminides Letero, long an entrenched liberal-centrist backbencher. Hanasi's rhetorical style of emphasizing empiricism and intellectualism (coined by his critics "facts and logic") in public policy debates caught fire with the electorate, and he ousted Letero with nearly a 6% margin during the 2018 Tarsan Grand Synod elections.

Political views

Hanasi is considered on the right-wing of the Tarsan political spectrum. He is considered a bridge between the cultural-issue populists and business conservative wings of the Golden Dawn party. He is an immigration restrictionist, and has urged severe use of force at the border with Staroslava.

He drew domestic and international criticism for calling on the border guard to "teach these border-hopping scum a lesson," with critics perceiving his words to encourage the use of lethal force on illegal aliens. Hanasi denied that charge, saying he only meant that the Staroslavan aliens needed to be prosecuted under the full extent of the law.

Family and personal life

Hanasi is married to Tzippora (neé Gur), since 2013. They have three children: twins Moshe and Rivka (age 5), and Leah Yehudis (age 2).
