Keith County is located in the Ibican state of Hamilton. Its county seat is Underwood, the most populous city in the state. As of the 2020 census, the population was 878,661, making it the most populous county in Hamilton. The county is crossed southeast-northwest by the Underwood River.

Economy
Keith County was originally the core of the lumber industry of north Hamilton, and is still home to a large number of papermills, sawmills, and fabrication facilities. Due to this economic importance, Underwood is also the hub of the railroads of northern Hamilton, hosting the headquarters of the Hamilton International Railroad.
Transportation
Highways
- Interstate 5 has its north terminus in the city, and leaves to the southwest, heading to the state capital.
- Ibican Route 1 crosses the city north to south, serving Anselmo to the south, and Georgetown and eventually Edmonson in Pherigo to the north.
- Ibican Route 27 enters from the south, concurrent with IR-1, then in downtown Underwood turns east to serve Woodville
- Hamilton State Highway 8 serves Crestmont and Imperial before heading east along the Bay of Albion towards Dewey.
- Hamilton State Highway 16 begins in downtown Underwood and heads north-northeast to Lexington, and is the main access route to Hamilton Lakes National Park.
- Hamilton State Highway 201 serves as a loop around Underwood, while serving ever city in the county. The route is entirely within the county.
